Origin Expands Renewable Portfolio with Strategic Yanco Delta Wind Farm Acquisition

12 April 2024 – Origin Energy Limited (ASX: ORG) has executed an agreement to acquire Virya Energy‘s 1.5GW Yanco Delta Wind Farm and 800MWh battery storage project, positioning it as a leader in NSW’s renewable energy transition.

📍 Location: 33,000-hectare site near Jerilderie, NSW (South West REZ)
✅ Approvals: NSW Development Consent (Dec 2023) + EPBC (Feb 2024)
🔌 Grid Advantage: Adjacent to critical transmission infrastructure
