Downer Utilities business is the successful delivery partner for Transgrid to build the greenfield power infrastructure for Lumea to support Uungula Wind Farm.
Uungula Wind Farm (UWF), a Squadron Energy development, will include 69 wind turbines with total capacity of ~414MW and associated infrastructure on agricultural land approximately 14km east of Wellington, NSW.
As part of the project, Power Projects team will design, procure, construct and commission approximately 12km of 330kV Transmission line, a 330/33kV substation and a 330kV switching station.
Gabriel Cohen, Executive General Manager Power Projects, said his team had already set a benchmark for delivering large-scale power infrastructure.
“We have a strong and experienced delivery team ready to power on with delivering this critical connection into the Transgrid network.”
“I look forward to working with our partners at Transgrid, Lumea and Squadron Energy to help enable a low emission power supply and support Australia’s clean energy future.” said Gabriel.
Mobilisation to site will commence in early 2025.
