Another important step for one of NSW’s most critical energy projects💡⚡

Energy Co reached a major milestone on the Hunter Transmission Project (HTP), signing a commitment deed with Transgrid as the preferred network operator.

The HTP will unlock the supply of clean energy from the Central-West Orana and New England renewable energy zones to homes and businesses across NSW.

Through the commitment deed, we will work with Transgrid to ensure smooth and timely delivery of the project as part of the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap.

Another important milestone is the shortlisting of 7 contractors to participate in the tender phase for design and construction of the project.

Energy Co is currently finalising the tender documents, which will be issued to the shortlisted contractors early this year. Successful contracts are expected to be awarded in 2026.
