Offline testing has begun!🌟

Ever since the arrival of two 120MVAr synchronous condensers (syn cons) late last year, the EnergyConnect team at Buronga substation has been working hard to assemble and commission the syn cons in preparation for offline testing.

🏗⚡The offline testing will ensure that the condensers operate safely and effectively prior to being connected to the grid. These condensers will play a key role in maintaining grid stability and enabling the sharing of energy between NSW, South Australia, and Victoria.

Project Delivery Director Rob Harrison said: “This has been an incredibly hard-earned victory from the EnergyConnect team. It marks another key step towards the transition through transmission.”
