Elecnor has some great news to share. We have achieved another construction milestone with our team completing the final foundation drilling on the western side of the Murrumbidgee River between Buronga and Balranald, NSW which includes 289 towers.
This western-side foundation drilling program has been approximately eight months in the making, and it means we have now completed drilling more than a third of the 800 foundations on this line.
Additionally, the team has poured over 11,200 m³ of concrete and is on track to complete the western side pour by the end of the month.
To put this drilling program into perspective, the team has drilled a total of 1,156 foundation holes, each up to 8 meters deep. That’s a staggering total depth of 9,250 meters — over a kilometre deeper than Mount Everest is tall!
Thank you to everyone involved in achieving this great milestone.
