Elecnor’s Overhead Transmission Line team based at Lockhart Camp near Wagga Wagga, NSW have been celebrating a major milestone with the completion of 150 tower foundations between Dinawan and Wagga Wagga.
Project Manager Alan MacRae said, “the team should be very proud of achieving this milestone”. The celebrations included a celebratory Elecnor Australia cake for the team.
“On a major infrastructure project such as EnergyConnect it is important to celebrate success and this achievement is a timely one,” he said.
“We all enjoyed taking a moment to reflect on the progress we’ve made.”
There are 334 towers on this line between Dinawan and Wagga Wagga.
Some associated facts to date on this line:
– 9000 cubic meters of concrete have been poured which is the equivalent of 3.6 Olympic swimming pools.
– 524 x 1200mm dia piles installed.
– 76 x 1800mm dia piles installed.
– 1000 x reinforced cages fabricated (1200 tonnes).
